We live in an age where everything is digitized. From our work schedules to entertainment, everything is on our computers and truly be able to master something, you need to know its ins and outs. That is why today, we’ll be talking about 7 computer hack everyone should know. From little quirks to life-saving tips, you can find it all here.

Re-opening a closed tab 

Accidentally closed a tab? No worries! Just press Ctrl + Shift + T to bring it back (cmd + Shift + T on Macs). We all wish we knew this sooner.

Extracting photos from a word document

This is actually pretty handy. If a particular document has images you need, you can simply edit its name from .docx to .zip and open it. All the pictures will be in one of the directories.

Deleting a word 

Rather than backspacing the whole word letter by letter, you can delete it in one go! Simply press Ctrl + backspace and save precious typing time.

Pulling up an Emoji Keyboard

If you’re someone particularly expressive and enjoy using multiple emojis while texting, communicating through a laptop can get a bit dry. However, you can easily insert emojis by pressing the Windows key + . to instantly pull up an emoji keyboard. On Mac, you can press cmd + Control + spacebar to access the keyboard.

Closing the current window or tab 

Sometimes, we don’t want to go all the way to the x to close a tab or window. Simply press Ctrl + W to exit out your open tab or window.

Automatically entering .com to a URL 

You can easily avoid typing out the whole URL by pressing Ctrl + Enter to enter .com on its own! Pretty convenient, right?

Instant Image Search 

Want to figure out where an image came from? Hold down the S key and right-click on the image to launch an instant image search in a new tab. That’s all we have for today, folks!
